ABOUT ME
Joana Albuquerque – Transformation and Human Development
Hello, I'm Joana Albuquerque, founder of Constantly Spring. I’ve been a therapist for nearly 30 years, with a path deeply rooted in listening to the human being in their entirety: body, mind, emotions, spirit, and personal history.
My Roots
I began my career as an occupational therapist, graduating from the School of Health Sciences in Alcoitão (ESSA), where I worked in challenging environments focused on habilitation and rehabilitation. I supported people with multiple disabilities, severe mental illnesses, children with developmental difficulties, and adults facing burnout, grief, or existential crises.
It was a true school of life. I learned to listen to the body, to pain — and, above all, to the invisible strength every human being carries to start again.
My Own Path of Transformation
Over time, I realized that true transformation begins when we allow ourselves to look within. I walked that path myself, with courage and vulnerability. For years I resisted — afraid of the pain, of the unknown. But step by step, I immersed myself in trainings that helped me heal and reconnect: family constellations, meditation, emotional therapies, trauma work, inner child reconnection, energy and bodywork.
Later, I stepped into the world of coaching — with training in life coaching, executive coaching, and structured personal development, including a postgraduate program at NOVA SBE in partnership with Henley Business School. These tools brought more clarity, presence, and purpose to my work as a therapist.
My Professional Experience
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across various areas that have enriched my practice:
-
I taught at ESSA and supervised internships at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, helping train new healthcare professionals.
-
I worked at Loja do Avô, leading teams and integrating technical solutions for clients and families.
-
I was a trainer in the field of home care, empowering caregivers to offer more humane and conscious support.
-
I worked as a consultant in human resources management, focusing on leadership, team development, and interpersonal relationships in the workplace.
-
I am currently a career coach at API Experience, where I support university students from the U.S. in aligning their talents with transformative internship experiences in the Iberian Peninsula.
What I Offer Today
Today, I bring together all these experiences into an integrative systemic approach that honors all dimensions of the self: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social. In each session, I hold a safe space of deep listening and presence, where the essential can emerge — without hurry, without masks, without judgment.
My mission is to help you gain clarity, release blockages, and act with purpose. To walk alongside you on your journey of reconnection — with yourself, your story, and your inner power to transform.
Are You Ready to Take the First Step?
If so, I’m here to walk with you.

My journey with Joana started as another stage of life in search of self-knowledge. In my life I take on a series of roles - woman, mother, daughter, wife and professional - and I look for balance, fulfillment and, of course, happiness in all of them.
Coaching focuses me and gives me tools that allow me to reach myself, my essence and my purpose. With peace and harmony!

I am incredibly grateful to Joana, who during the various coaching sessions helped me to discover my potential to achieve the professional result that I wanted so much, but that I was not getting by myself.
With great care and with the various tools, he was teaching me and guiding what I should improve and encourage, all in a process of introspection and self-knowledge.
